Minju Kim started playing the violin at the age of eight.
She participated in the pre-college program at the Colburn School of Music, where she studied with Henri Gronnier, and was later accepted to the Cleveland Institute of Music on scholarship. She recently completed her Bachelor and Master of Music degrees at Cleveland Institute of Music under the tutelage of Paul Kantor.
In addition to having been a full scholarship recipient at the Aspen Music Festival and School for four summers, she has also taken part in the Banff Music Festival, Orford Music Festival, IMS at Prussia Cove and the Kneisel Hall Chamber Music Festival and School.
She is now pursuing her Doctorate of Musical Arts degree at the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music, where she studies with Mauricio Fuks as a Dean’s Scholarship and Artistic Excellence Award recipient.
