Joe takes every opportunity he can to make friends through music, and is thrilled to be playing with members of the Festival de Febrero this year. When not playing in Ajijic, he’s up in Canada, reimagining folk traditions learned from field recordings with banjoist Jayme Stone’s Folklife, accompanying Canadian fiddler Shane Cook, laying down bluegrass bass lines and singing tenor harmonies with the Claire Lynch Band, and strutting his stuff with the Payadora Tango Ensemble. He also regularly collaborates with Irish-American multi-instrumentalist Seamus Egan and performs with Toronto’s genre-defying Art of Time Ensemble.
