With a career of more than four decades of intense musical work inside and outside of tango, Mr. Olguín has performed in the most important stages and concert halls in the country, such as the Palacio of Fine Arts, the Nezahualcoyotl Room, and the National Auditorium; in the cultural festivals of Zacatecas, Xalapa, and Aguascalientes; and in the Sinaloa de las Artes, Centro Histórico Festival in Mexico City, Instrumenta Oaxaca, Morelia Music Festival, and the Cervantino International Festival, among others. He has to his credit 27 recorded albums.

As a soloist, he has performed with the Philharmonic Orchestra of Mexico, Chamber Orchestra of Fine Arts, OFUNAM (Philharmonic Orchestra of the Autonomous University of Mexico), Camerata de Coahuila, Symphony Orchestra of Aguascalientes, Philharmonic Orchestra of Chihuahua, UDLA Orchestra, Orchestra of the UP, Chamber Orchestra of the Universidad Michoacana, Youth Symphony Orchestra of the Universidad Veracruzana, Orchestra of Baja California, Symphony Orchestra of Guanajuato, Symphony Orchestra of the IPN, and with the Symphony Orchestra of the State of Mexico under the direction of Maestro Enrique Batiz, among others. He is a permanent collaborator with the Latin American Quartet.

With the Baja California Orchestra he premiered his concert “Three Pieces” for bandoneón and Orchestra, and with the Chihuahua State Philharmonic Orchestra and under the baton of Maestro Armando Pesqueira, the “Suite Ranquel” for bandoneón and Symphony Orchestra. He has toured Argentina, France, the United States, Japan, and New Zealand. He is the director and founding member of the UNWTO – Mexican Tango Orchestra.
